Founded in 2012, New Age Scholars (N.A.S.) is not your typical childcare program—it's a home-based haven owned and operated by Reneca Benn, with nearly two decades of childcare experience. Preparing children for their academic journey in a nurturing environment has always been her goal, and she is very proud of it. Reneca emphasizes more than just structured activities for children; she values open and transparent communication with parents. Understanding each child's unique needs requires a partnership with parents, ensuring a holistic approach to their development.​ Dedicated to community involvement, N.A.S. hosts an annual fundraiser - Black History in March. This event is not just a celebration; it's a platform for showcasing African American culture, history and supporting local talents and vendors.​ Reneca's commitment shines through in the strong relationships she builds with the families she serves. Her program has a positive impact, creating lasting connections that endure even after the children graduate and move on to college. Reneca finds the most joy in witnessing the continuous growth and success of the children she has nurtured.
